Today's chore is to dust and tidy the bedroom.
Look at my Beloved's nightstand...you can see that he likes to read in bed. That's not unusual...a lot of people do that. What I found funny this morning was the number of reading glasses laid out on the stand. Count them! One, Two, Three, Four, Five!
When I laughed about it, he said he had just laid them there, having found them in various corners of the house. (He really doesn't want you think he has to rely on five pair of glasses simultaneously.)
And look at the books! If the nightstand is full to overflowing, there will be another small pile under the bed.

I think I recognize Come and Welcome by Bunyan, maybe Reformed Pastor by Richard Baxter, Millennium Madness by Waldron. I'm wondering if the yellow book is by Arturo Azurdia or D. A. Carson. Oh and Sovereignty of God by Pink. Is the Defense of Calvinism is by Spurgeon?
Yes, written by C. H. Spurgeon. It is a small booklet by Banner of Truth Trust. The contents are taken from Ch 13 of The Early Years , Vol 1 of C. H. Spurgeon's autobiography.
Hmmm, I can relate. My nightstand is stacked high with books. It's like the leaning tower! Yikes! I better clean up!
What are the rest of the books on the nightstand I wonder? Looks like some good stuff there. - I noted the monergism bookmark, that is probably a good indication of what they might be.
